Playing
Do viewers need to install or sign up for anything?
No. Viewers just type their guess in the streamer's chat - that's it. Signing in on guessrift.com is only needed to host matches or to browse your own profile and rankings.
What counts as a correct guess?
The champion, skin or item name. We accept English and Portuguese spellings and tolerate small typos, so close answers still count.
Is GuessRift free?
Yes, completely free to play - for streamers and viewers.
Can I change the language?
Yes. English, Portuguese and Spanish are available in the Options menu (⚙), and the site itself is available at /pt and /es.
How do voice rounds work?
The streamer has to enable Voice (it's off by default). A champion voice line plays in the language of the match and the first person to name the champion wins. There's a replay button if you need a second listen.
Platforms
Which platforms are supported?
Twitch works out of the box - sign in and play. Streamers can connect a Kick channel in the options so their Kick chat joins the same match. YouTube support is built and rolling out gradually while Google finishes reviewing our integration.
Can my Twitch and Kick chats play at the same time?
Yes. Once Kick is connected, both chats guess in the same rounds, on the same global ladder.
Ranked
Does my elo carry between channels?
Yes - there is a single global ladder. Your LP follows your Twitch identity in every stream you play in. The full rules live in the ranked guide.
Why did I earn so little LP in a small stream?
Round LP scales with how many different people were guessing (it's the anti-farming rule). Small or repetitive rounds pay less, so farming an empty chat doesn't work.
What happens when a season ends?
Ranks soft-reset and your first matches of the new season recalibrate your starting point. Past seasons stay browsable on the rankings page.
How do I get a profile icon next to my name?
Playing and climbing unlock achievement tracks that award League profile icons. Pick the one to display from your profile page.
Party Mode
Can I play without a stream?
Yes - Party Mode creates a private room. The host signs in, friends join with just a nickname through the room link, and everyone plays for points without touching the ranked ladder.
Troubleshooting
Chat guesses aren't being counted. What do I check?
Make sure the match is running on the same channel your viewers are typing in, and - for Kick - that the channel is connected in the options. If it still fails, email us with your channel name and a timestamp.
The streamer's connection dropped mid-match. Is the match lost?
No. The match keeps running on the server and resumes when the streamer comes back within a couple of minutes.
