Streamer Guide

GuessRift is built to need zero production work from you: no bot to mod, no overlay to install, no commands to teach your chat. You sign in, hit Start, and your viewers play by typing guesses in the chat they already use. This guide covers everything a streamer can set up, from the first match to sharing your channel's leaderboard.

First match in under a minute

1. Sign in with Twitch at guessrift.com - we connect to your live chat automatically.
2. Pick the content types for the match: Splash Art, Abilities, Items and/or Voice. At least one must be on, and you can toggle them mid-match (changes apply next round).
3. Hit Start. A 3·2·1 countdown runs and the first round begins.

Each round shows a cropped splash, a progressively revealed ability or item icon, or plays a champion voice line. The first correct answer in chat wins the round and earns LP on the global ladder - you compete too, racing your own viewers.

Show it on stream

Capture the GuessRift browser window in OBS (or your streaming app) as a window or browser source so viewers see the reveal in real time. Most streamers keep it side by side with the game or full-screen between matches. There is nothing to sync: the server decides the winner from the real chat, so what you see is what counts.

Autoplay

Turn on Autoplay to chain rounds and matches automatically. It's perfect for "just chatting" segments, queue times, or leaving the game running for your community while you focus on playing.

Voice rounds

Voice is off by default. When you enable it, a champion voice line plays in the language of the match and chat races to name the champion. It's the hardest mode and a great change of pace once your community knows the basics.

Playing with your Kick chat

Twitch works on its own. If you also stream on Kick, connect your Kick channel in the options and both chats play in the same match, on the same ladder. YouTube support is built and rolling out gradually while Google finishes reviewing our integration.

Your channel leaderboard

Every stream builds a persistent community ranking: the Live tab shows who climbs across all your matches. Your channel also gets a public page at guessrift.com/c/yourchannel - drop the link in your Discord or panel so viewers can check their standing between streams.

Party Mode (no stream needed)

Want to play off-stream? Party Mode creates a private room: you host, friends join with a nickname through a link - no accounts needed - and everyone battles for points without touching the ranked ladder.

If your connection drops

Matches are resilient: if your tab crashes or the internet blips, the match keeps running on the server and picks right back up when you return within a couple of minutes.
