Ranked Guide
Every guess you make on GuessRift counts toward one identity on one ladder. It doesn't matter whose stream you play in: your LP follows your Twitch account everywhere, from the smallest community to the biggest live event. This guide explains how that ladder works and how to climb it.
Tiers and divisions
The ladder uses the ranks every League player knows: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald and Diamond, each split into divisions IV to I, then Master, Grandmaster and Challenger at the top. The math is simple:
- 100 LP = one division (IV → III → II → I).
- 400 LP = one full tier (for example, all of Silver).
How you earn LP
- Win a round: you earn LP that scales with how many different people were guessing that round. A win against a busy chat is worth more than a win against two friends.
- Guess fast: a speed bonus rewards answering early in the round.
- Win the match: whoever takes the most rounds gets bonus LP.
- Play but score zero: a small LP loss, so showing up and never guessing right isn't free.
Why small rounds pay less (anti-farming)
Because round LP scales with real participation, farming an empty chat doesn't work: rounds only pay full LP when enough different players take part, and suspicious matches may not count toward records at all. The fastest way to climb is the honest one - play in active streams and outguess real people.
Live ranking vs global ranking
The Global tab on the rankings page spans every player across every channel. The Live tab is each channel's own community ladder, persistent across all of that streamer's matches - it also lives on a public page at guessrift.com/c/channel. Click any player to open their profile, including an LP graph of their climb.
Records and the Hall of Fame
LP isn't the only race. GuessRift tracks separate boards for total round wins, fastest guess, win rate, average answer speed and the biggest climbers - and the current leader of each sits in the Hall of Fame on the home page. A consistent sniper can hold a record without being Challenger.
Seasons
The ladder runs in seasons. When a season ends, ranks soft-reset and your first matches of the new season act as placements that recalibrate where you start. Past seasons stay browsable on the rankings page, so a finish is permanent bragging rights.
Profile icons
Climbing and playing also unlock achievement tracks that award League profile icons. Pick the one you want to show next to your name on the leaderboards from your profile page.
